When i was a trainee, i was reccomended for a job that turned into an absolute disaster. The director wanted to reinvent a classic monster by doing a shot for shot copy of them. He refused to listen to anything I had to say, kept chsnging rhe plan and not telling me till the last minute and in the end he replaced the entire sfx team atleast 3 times not through choice though, it was because people kept quitting. He couldnt understand why the low budget miniature where the artists had no artistic input didnt look better than the multi million full animatronic giant monster The most ridiculous thing about this was its one of the most basic monsters out there

My boss asked me to voluntarily lower the quality of my animations because he didn't wanted his client to get used to it.

1) i received an offer from a client/businness man while negotiating costs: his offer was basically: "every client you find and get a job, I will receive 80%" 2) i modeled many things for a studio as it was the agreement for the agreed price. After that the production girl told me: "and the UVs?" So I said "ok, you want UVs, I will charge for the UVs".. And she said "eita!".. in portuguese it means "what?!" 3) a client wasnt paying me for long time, and was ignoring my call... so I called from an unknown phone. He answered and promised that would pay. He paid and I sent back all files I had removed from the server. XD (I think Otherwise he wouldnt pay)

was told by a live-action director of an animated project that "I can't give you reference for the style of animation that I want because this style of animation has never been done before."

This was a 30 mins argument and in the end I gave up. “In my 20 years of experience, I’ve never seen someone review animation in blocking stage. “ -My Producer

after succesfully completing the project, once I sent my invoice, the client "forgot" about the formerly agreed upon day rate, and tried to gaslight me into accepting lower payment

My supervisor made me make 100s of versions of my shots and he a always picked the first one in the end.

I had a boss once who was unhappy with everything I did until I made it sound like the idea came from him!
